Studio Policies – Le Jardin Noir Tattoo Studio
We’re all about keeping things relaxed and welcoming—but we also believe clear communication makes for the best tattoo experience. Below are our studio policies to help everything run smoothly for both you and your artist.
Booking Info
All of our artists have different availabilities to keep things manageable to their schedule and ensure we’re fully present with each client. When books are open, we’ll announce it on Instagram, or our email list and you’ll be able to inquire via email or our booking form.
Flash days and last-minute openings might pop up now and then, so it’s always worth keeping an eye on our stories!
Design Proces
We do not send designs in advance—and we promise that’s a good thing. Your artist will create something just for you, and you’ll get to see it at your appointment. We always leave time for small adjustments on the day-of, to make sure you feel great about it, this is very important to us with every session!
If bigger changes are needed (like a full redesign due to a big shift in the concept or unclear communication), an additional drawing fee may apply. We know your tattoo is important, and we want to give it the time and care it deserves—this helps us do that.
The more detail and clarity you can give during your consultation, the better! And remember: it’s important to choose an artist whose style you already connect with—that way, you can trust the process and end up with something amazing that you love.
Deposit Fees
A deposit fee is required to secure your tattoo appointment. This fee helps cover your artist’s time spent preparing your piece and protects their schedule if anything falls through.
Deposit amounts range depending on the artist and project, they will discuss it with you once they review your consult form.
This fee is non-refundable, no exceptions.
It will go toward the final cost of your tattoo, as long as all policies are respected.
Your appointment date is not confirmed until the deposit fee is received, even if you’ve been chatting with us. We kindly ask for at least 3 business days’ notice if you need to reschedule—otherwise, your deposit fee will be forfeited and a new one may be required to rebook. All no shows, arriving more than 20 minutes late to your appointment, or rescheduling more than twice can lead to a forfeiture of your deposit.
Deposits can be sent via etransfer and in some cases cash during your in person consult (if your artist would like to discuss more details in person) the email will be sent to you for the etransfer information. All remaining balances for your tattoo are due the day of your appointment.
Also please note - If for any reason we have to reschedule your appointment, we are not responsible for you having requested off work. We try our best to not reschedule but we are also human and sometimes things come up. Thanks for your understanding!
Payment and estimate information
The length of time of your appointment can be found in the confirmation email of your booking.
This is an estimate and the length of time needed may be less or more than quoted.
All prices are before tax and deduction of deposit. The shop accepts cash, etransfer or credit card. If you need to use a credit card there is a 3% fee on top of your total - so cash or etransfer is preferred all around!
Touch-Ups
If your tattoo was done at Le Jardin Noir and needs a little touch-up, we’ve got you. Please wait 6–8 weeks to allow it to fully heal, then reach out to your artist directly to book. It is helpful if you send a photo of the healed tattoo.
Touch-ups are a priority for us as the longevity and quality of your tattoo is of huge importance to us. Be sure to follow aftercare instructions to give your tattoo the best healing shot possible!
Age Policy
You must be 18 years or older on the day of your appointment. No exceptions—even with parental permission. Thank you for respecting this policy.
Artistic Boundaries
Every artist at Le Jardin Noir has their own style, strengths, and preferences. If a design doesn’t align with what we do, we may kindly decline the request. This helps protect both your experience and our artistic integrity—we want to make sure we’re the right fit for your vision. We are always happy to recommend another artist better suited for the piece you are wanting!
Before your appointment:
DO NOT USE NUMBING CREAMS. No moisturizers or lotions the day of your appointment, but it is recommended to moisturize regularly for the few weeks leading up to your session. (This will help how well your skin takes the ink and how it heals!)
Make sure you eat beforehand and feel free to bring water, snacks, headphones, or blankets.
We do provide juice, tea, water and snacks! But it is still recommended to bring a lunch if you will be with us for the day!
A Final Note
Each artist at the studio may have their own additional policies or preferences when it comes to booking and communication. These will be shared with you directly when you reach out or begin the booking process.
